I worked at PwC the leading firm of accountants and consultants. After this I spent twenty years giving financial and accounting advice to growing companies.
I went back to university to get a PhD in accounting. This involved research on the financial performance of companies with good ratings for environmental performance. The good news is that firms that care for the environment tend to have better profitability and higher market value.
In the last ten years i have taught accounting and finance at Exeter and Plymouth universities in the U.K.
