Have you ever been so excited to finish that amazing Canva design only then not being able to find it when you want to use it, whether it’s a social media post, a presentation, a video for a reel or whatever?
If this is you, I am here to help.
Too many people don’t realize or appreciate the importance of being digitally organized. Only when they get frustrated by how much time they’ve wasted looking for that important electronic document, letter, spreadsheet or Canva design—does the penny drop.
According to research, humans can spend between 5 and 8 hours per week, looking for misplaced electronic files. This is such a waste of valuable time and it’s completely avoidable.
What qualifies me?
I’ve spent 30 years of my working career organizing all things digital for my previous employers across a variety of industries—commercial property rental, retail management, commercial construction, financial investment, property valuation, skills training, to mention a few but in 2013, I decided to go it alone, becoming a contractor doing IT project management in the Kiwifruit industry in New Zealand.
I couldn’t have done any of those jobs if I wasn’t digitally organized and all along, I was teaching colleagues how to organize their digital ‘stuff’.
My digital organizational teaching journey begins…
Being an avid landscape photographer, during 2020, I decided to start my own business, selling digital products through my own website and print-on-demand platforms. I wanted to use Instagram to promote my business but didn’t know how to use it, so went and found an online course to learn.
I’m a Photoshopper but started using Canva because of the Instagram course and realised very quickly, how easily it can get into a mess and how easy it is to lose designs that have just been created—so I developed a system for myself to keep me out of trouble.
Realising that if I struggle with this, there are others out there with the same problem. I put together a short course to teach other Canva-users, in under an hour, how to organize all their designs. This course eliminates the time-wasting that goes with trying to find designs in Canva.
The course is available on my own website but I realized recently that as a Udemy student myself, this would be a better platform to reach people like you, who need my help now with getting organized, because you’ve got better things to do with your time than waste it looking for your wayward Canva designs—so here I am. ??
