Dr. Mayo’s journey into the world of creativity and business began with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine & Applied Arts (Graphic Design) and a minor in Textile Design from Ladoke Akintola University in Nigeria. While sharpening his creative talents, he also gained hands-on sales experience as a part-time associate at Footlocker.
Driven by a deep interest in marketing communications, Dr. Mayo pursued a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications at Roosevelt University in Chicago. During his internship at RJ Dale, a renowned African American advertising agency, he contributed to campaigns for well-known brands like Jewel-Osco, ComEd, and the DuSable Theater, solidifying his passion for marketing. There, he honed his visual communication skills as a Junior Graphic Designer.
Building a Successful Career
Following his internship, Dr. Mayo began a successful journey at American Intercontinental University, starting as an Admissions Advisor and eventually ascending to the role of Director of Admissions for International Admissions, showcasing his leadership potential.
His exceptional performance led him to the university’s corporate office, where he assumed the role of National Director of Operations. Dr. Mayo leveraged his skills to develop and implement standard operating procedures, enhancing efficiency across various colleges and overseeing processes like mergers and acquisitions.
Combining Education and Expertise
Dr. Mayo’s pursuit of knowledge led him to conduct groundbreaking research on the effectiveness of social media as a business tool, inspiring the creation of a thriving social media marketing business. Simultaneously pursuing a Doctorate in Business, this endeavor highlights his commitment to continuous learning, significantly contributing to his corporate success.
Establishing BizCrown Media
Driven by his marketing expertise and entrepreneurial spirit, Dr. Mayo launched BizCrown Media, a digital marketing agency. His ability to forge connections with local chambers of commerce secured his initial clients, laying the groundwork for BizCrown Media’s success.

BizCrown Media offers a range of services, from website development to social media and video marketing. Under Dr. Mayo’s leadership, the agency has achieved remarkable success, reaching six-figure revenues.
